Gravity Flex is Virtue Foam Industries selling direct. We are not a brand that orders its mattresses from a factory — we are the factory. Our mattresses go out to dealers across the trade, and this is the same mattress without the trip through them.

Where they are made

This is the whole of it

These are not a photographer's pictures. This is the shed on an ordinary working day — raw material stacked against one wall, cut sheets against the other, and one machine closing the edge of a mattress somebody ordered.

We are showing it because mattress buying usually happens with no idea of where the thing came from. You see a showroom, a price tag and a warranty card. You never see the foam.

Why the same build costs less here

A mattress that reaches you through a shop has paid for every step it took to get there. Ordering here skips the steps, not the mattress.

    The chain, skipped

    A mattress reaches a shop through a distributor and a dealer, and each one adds its margin before you ever see a price. We supply that chain ourselves, so we know exactly what it adds. Order here and none of it is in the way — the gap is not a sale we are running, it is a step that did not happen.

    Nothing has sat in a shop

    We build to order. Nothing you buy here has been held as finished stock in fifteen sizes across eight models, or put on a retail floor to be looked at for a month. It is made after you order it, so nothing you pay is covering the wait.

    The money goes into the material

    What is left after material, labour and delivery is a manufacturer's margin, not a brand's. Given the choice, we would rather put another layer in the mattress than another name on the label.

Straight answers

What we won't tell you

A lot of mattress marketing runs on claims nobody can check. We have decided not to make them.

  • No inflated MRP

    You will not find a struck-through price here that nothing ever sold at. The number on the card is the number you pay, and it is worked out from the size and the build.

  • No health claims

    We will tell you exactly what is inside a mattress — the layers, the materials, the thickness. We will not tell you what it will do for your back. What suits you is not something we can know from here.

  • No firmness theatre

    Every brand's firmness scale means something different, so a number on it tells you nothing. We publish the construction instead, which you can hold up against anything else on like-for-like terms.
